James Bates is the founder, directorand owner of the American Academy of Hypnotherapy, Inc,
He is a professional psychotherapist and clinical hypnotherapist who began his career in psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, training and counseling in 1989.
He has operated a successful hypnotherapy and counseling practice in North Dakota with an affiliate office in Alaska. He currently maintains a private practice in Colorado with offices in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado where he is presented with opportunities to use his counseling and therapy skills.
He is versatile in a wide variety of hypnosis techniques including direct and indirect methods of induction with specialization in Guided Imagery, Spirit Releasement, Regression Therapy and Abduction Phenomena.
In demand as a guest speaker at many functions, he presents seminars locally and at National Conventions.
Warner Brothers Morning News and talk shows have featured him.
James is registered as required with the Colorado Mental Health Agency and is a member in good standing with the:

The Colorado Chapter of Eastern Institute of Hypnotherapy/National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, guided by J. Bates as President, was awarded the 2001 Chapter of the Year by EIH/NATH for dedication to hypnotherapy, leadership and innovation.
Karen Evans is the President of AAH, Program Director and Intern Supervisor.
She is a Certified Trainer with a rich background in holistic healthcare and traditional medicine who is versatile and an experienced expert in indirect induction methods.
Karen is a Psychotherapist, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Master Hypnotherapist registered with the State of Colorado dedicated to helping facilitate lasting change in your life with specialization in Phobias, Spirit Releasement, and Regression Therapy. She is a Certified Chartist and Consultant with Inner Expansion Workshops For The Soul and has spent in excess of 25 years helping people learn new patterns of thinking an behavior.
She combines elements from many different disciplines and modalities to present a multi-faceted approach to hypnotherapy. Karen is known as a conscientious, intuitive teacher who brings out the best in students and clients as well.
Karen maintains a private practice in Ft. Collins, Denver, Monument and Colorado Springs and is currently studying to become a Science of Mind Practitioner and ordained minister with the Church of Religious Science.
Karen offers workshops, demonstrations, group sessions lectures and classes on many topics including hypnotherapy, spirituality, angelic guidance, business ownership and entrepreneurship.
